Other painted aluminum products that boast stain resistance use additives such as PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene) to prevent dirt and pollutants from being absorbed into the paint and staining the product.

PTFE rises to the surface of the paint during the curing process and breaks down when exposed to UV rays leaving the standard paint exposed.

Armor Tough™  has 3 elements that work together to protect the paint.

1. Stain-Fighting Technology - Raises the temperature at which the paint softens so it stays harder longer and is less susceptible to dirt and stain.

2. Abrasion Resistant Beads - Polyamide beads create a tough textured armor in the paint, maximizing its abrasion resistance.

3. Crosslinking Durability - Stain fighting technology and abrasion resistant beads are crosslinked with the paint and do not separate, meaning they will work together to protect the paint for as long as it is on the gutters.
